Spring Grove Counseling is proud to partner with a team of skilled, compassionate professionals dedicated to providing high-quality mental and emotional support. As a training clinic, we not only contribute to the growth of the counseling profession but also offer affordable services for individuals from a wide range of financial backgrounds.
Our owners, Heidi Grover and James Mena, both have years of dedicated experience in the non-profit sector and are deeply committed to ensuring that everyone, regardless of financial means, has access to the help they need. Understanding that therapy can be costly, especially when insurance is not an option, we offer a sliding scale model with flexible pricing to make mental health support accessible to all.
Counseling with an Intern
Interns come to us from either masters’ degree counseling programs in the area or as part of online national school programs. These students are typically in the second year of their training and are looking for opportunities to put their new knowledge into practical application. These students have been handpicked by Spring Grove Counseling owners. Supervision is provided by the university program educators plus two senior therapists with more than 50 years of collective experience in the counseling profession.
Session Cost: $75.00-Initial and follow-up sessions
Counseling with an Associate
Our Associate therapists, including Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) and Licensed Professional Counselor Associates (LPC-A), are highly skilled professionals who have completed their formal education and passed the required licensure examinations. While they are in the process of obtaining full licensure, they work under the close supervision of a licensed therapist for an additional 3-4 years, gaining essential clinical experience and refining their skills. Although they are in the earlier stages of their careers, our Associates are well-trained, identifying their specialties, and receiving ongoing mentorship to ensure high-quality care for our clients.

Counseling with a Fully Licensed Therapist
A fully licensed therapist is a highly trained professional who has completed years of education, clinical practice, and supervised training to meet rigorous state or national licensing requirements. This extensive experience allows them to offer tailored, effective treatment for a wide range of mental health concerns, using proven techniques and ethical practices. When you choose to see a fully licensed therapist, you benefit from their expertise, consistency, and the confidence that they can handle complex issues with care and professionalism.
