Narrative Therapy

Narrative therapy is a type of psychotherapy that views individuals as the authors of their own stories. It focuses on how people interpret and give meaning to their experiences, encouraging them to reframe and reshape their personal narratives. The approach involves externalizing problems, which means viewing them as separate from the person, allowing for a more objective perspective.

Through this process, clients are empowered to challenge negative self-concepts and create new, more positive stories about their lives. Narrative therapy emphasizes collaboration between the therapist and client, helping them work together to explore and rewrite the client's narrative for personal growth and healing.

Your story is not defined by what happens to you, but by how you choose to tell it."".
